Founding partner of CGM, Martim has worked for almost three decades advising companies from various sectors, especially international ones, in various businesses and projects, such as the legal structuring of investments in Brazil, purchase and sale transactions, financing, corporate reorganizations, and drafting/negotiating contracts in general (mainly distribution, supply, and service agreements). Throughout his career, he has represented luxury/fashion brands, software companies, consumer goods manufacturers, steel and mining companies, basic industries, and professional services providers, among others.  Although he specializes in corporate and contract matters, Martim defines himself as a generalist with a broad, strategic vision, coordinating efforts across other areas of law, always with the objective of solving problems, achieving business objectives, and implementing projects in an efficient, creative, and legally sound manner.

Before founding CGM, Martim worked at Mayer Brown in New York and at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in Washington, D.C., primarily in infrastructure project finance transactions.
