Brazil’s new privacy initiative; national law with global implications
The newest edition of the Dutch magazine “Data, Cybersecurity and Privacy (DCSP)” brings the article “Brazil’s new privacy initiative; national law with global implications,” coauthored by Adriano Chaves, partner in charge of CGM’s Privacy and Data Protection group, and IP and Data Protection lawyer Willeke Kemkers, former associate at Greenberg Traurig and now legal counsel at WeTransfer.
The article covers a wide range of topics on the Brazilian law with regard to global implications, such as the role of the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD), processing obligations, data subject’s rights, international transfers, DPO’s role, penalties, among other relevant matters.
